The Living Project wants you to have a travel experience that feeds your soul. For us, it’s not enough to just take you on an typical yoga vacation; our intention is that you are opened to new possibilities, personal growth and expanded ways or seeing and being.
As we move through this transformational and tumultuous time on our planet; a time when the indigenous and shamanic peoples of South and Central America have prophesied that a great quickening is taking place, a shift in the very core of our way of being, many of us are being asked to relate to ourselves and our world in a new way.
In the highly experiential week in Tulum, Mexico, we will work with ancient shamanic and spiritual practices, and utilize them for our own healing, empowerment, and sense of life purpose.
This rich work will involve journeys into ourselves, our pasts, and our futures.
We will become acquainted with spirit allies and forces, navigate through expanded landscapes designed to open the heart, begin to remove obstacles that are in the way of our greater expression and potential, retrieve lost soul parts or vital essence, merge with the loving inter-connectivity and healing properties of nature, the elements, psyche and spirit.
Shape-shifting into a higher consciousness helps us come into alignment with the ‘shamanic self’ – the free expression of our own nature and empowerment so that we can, by energetic example, help to raise the vibration of all beings.
This retreat will include daily, open-level Yoga classes with Domenic. And, Stacey will lead a few workshops in her own nature-based yoga system called Earth-Sky Yoga.
Each morning before yoga, Jonathan will lead you in Buddhist Meditation (Mindfulness, Tonglen, Loving-Kindness etc.).
Tulum’s spectacular coastline – with all its confectioner-sugar sands, jade-green water and balmy breezes – makes it one of the top beaches in Mexico. Miles of magnificent white sand sparkle before the aquamarine waves. Where else can you get all that and a dramatically situated Maya ruin?
There’s also excellent cave and cavern diving, spectacular cenotes (underground, fresh-water lakes and pools), world-class snorkeling (and other water sports), all surrounded by lush and untouched jungle.
Tulum still maintains it’s original hipster vibe, but its unparallelled beauty has now attracted international tourists from around the world, as well as yoga-centric seekers who are attracted to its ecological consciousness.
But Tulum is more than a fantastic vacation destination, it is a place steeped in the rich history and culture of the ancient Maya.
The wisdom of these ancient shamanic peoples is still a vibrant part of the energy of Tulum; and the very fabric of the place seems to echo the strength and grandeur of this ancient civilization.
Amansala offers relaxed eco-chic accommodations like no other boutique hotel – between the pristine blue ocean and the emerald green tropical forests and jungles, Amansala is centered in the heart of the nature and splendor of Tulum.
Think of paradise in these terms: laying in a hammock under the shade of a palm tree, lounging by the beautifully appointed salt water pool, facing beautiful white beaches, sipping a cool drink, and enjoying the warm but refreshing breeze caressing your skin.
Rooms are spacious, with attention to detail throughout. The restaurant serves fresh fish, local produce and the tastiest mango margaritas in the Riviera Maya. The full service Spa Tulum offers a variety of healing treatments, the property has three state-of-the-art yoga shalas, and there is a traditional sweat lodge on site.
Each room also includes a computer activated safe, and most have AC (although its our understanding that this is not needed given the proximity to the beach and at this time of the year).
