Yoga and Spiritual Adventure into mystical Bali
The Living Project wants you to have a travel experience that feeds your soul. For us, it’s not enough to just take you on an typical yoga vacation; our intention is that you are opened to new possibilities, personal growth and expanded ways or seeing and being.
Each morning before yoga, Jonathan will lead you and instruct you in Buddhist Meditation (Mindfulness, Tonglen, Loving-Kindness). And in the evening, we will all meet in a sacred circle and he will offer a rich spiritual curriculum that will include Shamanic Journeying and other spiritual practice.
The evening ‘circle’ is often considered by our participants to be a favorite aspect to a Living Project retreat. This is a time to delve into ancient spiritual practices that will bring you into a deeper relationship with Spirit, Nature, our group, and your own inner journey.
We will also offer a Breathwork Ceremony designed to heighten spiritual consciousness and facilitate psychological and emotional cleansing.
Ubud and North Coast, BALI
The mere mention of Bali evokes thoughts of a paradise. It’s more than a place; it’s a mood, an aspiration, a tropical and mystical state of mind.
Ubud, is far removed from the beach party scene in the South, and is regarded as the cultural and spiritual center of Bali. It is famous as an arts and crafts hub, and much of the town and nearby villages consist of artists’ workshops and galleries. There are some remarkable architectural and other sights to be found, and a general feeling of well-being to be enjoyed – all thanks to the spirit, surroundings, and climate.
Ubud is characterized by gently rolling rice paddies; strikingly beautiful emerald green as far as the eye can see. Dotted with sacred temples and ancient monastaries, the Hindu-Balinese culture seems to sing in the air.
To the South, Canguu is a beach lover and surfers paradise. It would be hard to imagine any other place on earth where land, sea and sky have combined to produce utterly breathtaking ocean front. Here you will find tiny uncluttered coves lapped by crystal seas and long, devil-black stretches of wave and wind swept sand.
Yes, Bali has beaches, surfing, diving, and a rich cultural heritage, but it’s the essence of Bali – and the Balinese – that makes it so much more than just a fun-in-the-sun retreat. It’s possible to take the cliché of the smiling Balinese too far, but in reality, the inhabitants of this small island are indeed a generous, warm, and loving people.
Finally, Bali is steeped in spirit. The indigenous people here, though largely Hindu, are also animists. In other words, they believe in the inherent sentience of all of Nature and the Earth.
According to ancient Hindu writings “Jati was where the first Hindu priest and sacred white buffalo arrived in Bali from Java”. Since this time, Jati is revered as a sacred place safe from the outside world.
Bali’s premier Health and Well-being Spa Resort, Bagus Jati, is set on 5 acres of hillside gardens among lush tropical forests in the mountains of Ubud, Bali.
Accommodations consist of deluxe spa villas, each with private spa facilities and all overlooking tropical forest. The views from the room verandas open to the verdant feast for the senses that is the essence of central Bali.
A complete health spa, organic gardens, gourmet restaurant, yoga and meditation pavilions, and fresh water pool offer guests the true spirit and grace of Asian inspired traditional healing and hospitality.
Imagine a place so green and rich that the only noises you hear are exotic birds butterflies and lapping waters, the views are of tropical forests, mountains and sea, and the healing foods you eat are grown organically in the garden.
Bagus Jati is a place where your every need is met with a smile.
